Captain America
I absolutely love drawing Fan Art, I love the effects you can achieve with good markers and colored pencils combined. The markers can give you a quick under layer of vibrancy and the pencils allowing for the top layer of detail.
In this drawing, I was kindly sent Spectrum Noir's brand new line of Graphic markers to run along side their relatively new Illustrator marker. I also used some ColourBlend pencils on top and it was all completed on Strathmore 500 Series Bristol Plate, by far my favourite paper for this type of art.
I have taken work in progress (WIP) photos of the drawing from start to finish, giving you an idea of the process. I find it difficult to work out the time it takes me to complete a drawing because I spend small amounts of time at the drawing but as often as I can, as opposed to an hour sitting. This is purely down to my disability and pain levels, so I apologise for not giving a time. I can say that I completed this drawing over the course of three weeks.
