Star Wars Tusken Raider aka Sand People With Caran d'Ache Luminance
This art work is not really tied up with a particular review, I just really wanted to draw something for myself and with whatever pencils I wanted, the Star Wars Tusken Raider is what I came up with. I used predominately the Caran d’Ache Luminance pencils, for the background mountains, I blocked them in with marker and used the Spectrum Noir Illustrator and Stylefile markers. The drawing was completed on Strathmore 500 Series Bristol Plate.
I have also completed a speed drawing of this art work which you can watch on my YouTube channel. If you do decide to watch it, I tried a different layout for my speed drawings, I wanted to place the camera at a more direct, over head position, looking directly down onto the art work; however in order to do this I had to completed the art work upside down. The image was upside down for me but it appears the right way up on the video, the only thing that looks odd is the position of my hands, you can clearly see I am drawing from the top of the image down, which just looks a bit strange. I just wanted to make you aware before watching the video.
