Mythical Fairy Watercolor Painting With Paul Ruben Watercolors
Mythical Fairy Watercolor Painting With Paul Ruben Watercolors
This is really my first proper watercolor tutorial, I have done plenty of Watercolor Pencil reviews and artwork, but lately I have been delving deeper into watercolor pans and tubes so hopefully I will be bringing many more reviews and tutorials to you of this nature.
This art work was my wife’s idea actually, I received both the Paul Ruben 24 Watercolor set and the Paul Ruben 24 Pearlescent Watercolor and to be honest I really had no idea what I should do with the Pearlescent watercolors.
For this painting I used the Hahnemühle 300lb / 640g/m2 Hot Pressed Collection Watercolor paper, which is just gorgeous to use, however more about the paper in an upcoming review. Obviously the paints that I used in this piece were both of the Paul Ruben sets, the Pearlescent and traditional watercolors.
As always I have included a YouTube video review of the Paul Ruben Watercolors and here you can see some real time demonstrations. As well as the still images you see in this post, I have included a speed painting video over on The Art Gear Guide YouTube Channel and if YouTube is not your thing don’t worry, I have also included a written review here on The Art Gear Guide, simply follow the links to see what is appropriate to you.
