Botanical Art With Castle Arts Gold Colored Pencils

The artwork created in this post was done using the brand new Castle Arts Gold Colored Pencils, I was fortunate enough to have had a 120 set of the new Castle Arts Gold Colored Pencils sent to me for review and this was the artwork I created using the pencils. Throughout the course of the review I tested the pencils of a few different papers but I completed the artwork on the Derwent Lightfast Paper. This is a big quality art paper and perhaps not the type of paper that you would ordinarily use non lightfast colored pencils on, however, given the texture of the new Castle Arts Gold core and after testing the core on two smoother papers prior, I wanted to see how they reacted to a slightly more textured paper. I was really quite happy with the outcome and feel that the Castle Arts Gold Colored Pencils reacted beautifully to the textured Derwent Lightfast Paper.
