Bruynzeel Expression Coloured Pencil Review

The body of the Bruynzeel Expression pencil is wood based with the grain on display, however, although the barrel is clearly a wood barrel, and I know this is going to sound a bit weird, but there is a plastic feel to the barrel. It almost feels like the barrel is flexible which is clearly isn’t and when you sharpen the Bruynzeel Expression it does so incredibly smoothly.

So as I have always been with you guys, you will see my brutal honesty when it comes to my reviews. I have had this 48 set of Bruynzeel Design Aquarel sat on my desk for over a year now busting a gut to review them. I tend to purchase sets for review when I see a good deal on Amazon and this is why sometimes I might have a set on my desk for so long before I actually get round to reviewing them.

Bruynzeel Rijks Museum Colored Pencils

I completed my usual testing on the pencils, layering and blending; from the images below you can see that the layering with the Rijks Museum pencils was excellent. Blending also was excellent and as previously mentioned, I completed this test both dry and using odourless mineral spirits.

Bruynzeel Design Review

Bruynzeel is a brand of pencil, over looked by a company called Royal Talens, when I looked into the Royal Talens company and their products, they actually produce a vast array of art supplies, one of which you may be quite familiar with and that is the Pigma Micron fineliners and brush pens.
